Thank you to everyone who joined the Champaign County History Museum and Illini Hillel on June 15, 2023 as Erez Cohen, Executive Director of Hillel at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the first Hillel in the world, walked through 100 years of the history of Hillel through the experiences of its (Jewish and non-Jewish) founders, students and community members. We learned about important figures in the Champaign-Urbana community who helped support the establishment and growth of the Foundation for Jewish Life on Campus.
